Wow, what an interesting year we had in 2020. In what was a challenging 12 months for thousands of small businesses across Australia, many remained afloat, while others sadly didn’t.

The coronavirus blindsided all of us, and it’s impacts saw the closure of businesses right throughout our nation, and the layoffs of hundreds of thousands of workers.
Coffee Beans Shop dealt with all the punches that the year had to throw, meaning a temporary relocation to a facility in Tallai to reduce costs but to maintain roasting volumes and supply.
Don’t fret, people love coffee!
However, there is some good news and a light emerged at the end of the tunnel. More and more people started drinking coffee at home, as opposed to their favourite local haunts, and due to the 100 day lockdown in Melbourne, we managed to pick up 200 new clients!!! It goes to show that coffee roasters in Australia will still prevail. After all, it’s hard to live without coffee!
We are incredibly grateful for these clients, and know that without their support we wouldn’t still be pushing on into 2021.

Important updates for our valued clientele
This year we have bigger and better things on the horizon. We will be relocating the business to a much more exposed location to build local foot traffic again and have our entire Coffee Beans Shop range on display!
Eventually, we will be aiming to open this physical shopfront where customers can sample all of our coffee beans, single origins and blends before purchasing.
In terms of our online store, thanks to at-home customers, we are still going strong. Our All Around The World packs are a bestseller, particularly around Christmas time, offering the perfect coffee beans gift for the holiday season.
